Marble, Stone, and Materials Technological Center is a non-profit private business organization focused on the development of technological services and R&D projects for the non-energy mining industry.
The main areas of activity of the center are:
• Technical Advisory. Research and Development.
• Technology Services.
− Information and documentation.
− Industrial Safety.
− Geology, Topography and Geophysics.
− Sustainable construction and architectural heritage.
− Communications and Information Technology Service
Our Geology, Topography and Geophysics departments is involved in R8. Their area of expertise covers geophysics methods (georradar, passive seismic, tomography), including remote source methods based on the tele detection (hyperspectral analysis) by means of UAV in exploration programs, integration of geological and geophysical data with resource calculation and mine planning software (DATAMINE), mineral resource and ore reserve estimation, grade calculations and 3D models.
We have a rich database, a strong infrastructure, and competent human resources as well as a broad experience participating in EU financed programmes.
Also, we have involved our research areas of additive manufacturing (3D printing) and artificial vision. Characterization by artificial vision granulometry control. Valorization of sludges for 3D printing development. Valorization of mine tailings based on geophysics and tele detection development. Mine Closure and Revalorization.
