Aggregate Europe, in collaboration with the ROTATE project funded by the European Commission and led by ANEFA, and with the participation of the Fundación Tormes-EB, theUniversity of Liège, and FdA, continues to promote responsible biodiversity management in aggregate operations.
Following the success of the Biodiversity Indicators Questionnaire – Level 1, which gathered 191 valid responses from 12 European countries, the Working Group has announced the launch of the next phases of the project: Levels 2 and 3 of the questionnaire. The high level of participation achieved in the first stage has provided valuable insights into the actions carried out by aggregate operations to manage and protect biodiversity. The results of this first level can be consulted at this link.
To maintain the quality, consistency, and representativeness of the data, all initial participants are strongly encouraged to complete the new questionnaire, which combines Levels 2 and 3 into a single online form. The data collected should correspond to the year 2024. The questionnaire includes three main sections — general information, habitat protection, and species protection — and is available in four languages to facilitate participation across Europe: English, French, German, and Spanish versions.
Aggregates Europe and the Federation of Aggregates wish to thank all participants for their collaboration, enthusiasm, and commitment in this collective effort towards a more sustainable and biodiversity-friendly aggregates industry
